Face masks still required in GP Practices from 19th July

COVID-19 restrictions are set to be eased further from 19th July. Whilst it will no longer be mandatory to wear a mask in most public settings the situation in healthcare settings will remain unchanged for the time being.

Local infection control guidance has now been released and this stipulates the continued use of face masks in GP practice settings. Staff, patients and visitors will also be expected to continue to follow social distancing rules when visiting any care setting. We will continue to wear appropriate PPE and we ask our patients to continue to wear masks when in the surgery building, unless already exempt.

We thank you in advance for your continued cooperation and for helping us to protect each other.
